DANCER/PAINTER born in Aichi, Japan in 1992.

Mio Kasai spent her childhood in the United States, where she began tap/hip-hop dance and other forms of physical expression.  As she grew older, she became aware of her synesthesia, and began painting out of a desire to see the visual colours associated with the sounds of her favorite bands.

Mio create visual art by translating emotions and musical influences—perceived through synesthesia—into coluor, form, and energy. Her practice centers on visualizing inner emotions and invisible structures.

Thematically, Mio’s work explores the relationship between individuals and society, focusing on structural dynamics and connection. She examine not only harmony and balance, but also the sense of freedom and security that can emerge from within chaos—pursuing an ideal vision of humanity and contemporary life.

With colour, music, and emotion inherently connected in her perception, Mio aim to create new sensory experiences that transcend conventional boundaries through visual expression.

笠井は幼少期を過ごしたアメリカで身体表現を開始する。
年を重ねるにつれ自身がシナスタジア（共感覚）である事を自覚し、好きなバンドの音から連想される映像的色彩目で見たいという欲求から絵画制作を開始。
共感覚という特性を活かし、感情や音楽から受ける影響を、色・形・エネルギーといった視覚的要素に変換することで作品を制作している。目には見えない内面の感情や構造を、画面上に可視化することを表現の核としている。

テーマとして、人と人、人と社会との関係性や構成（コンポジション）を追究し、調和とバランスに加え、無秩序の中に存在する自由や安心感といった要素にも注目している。これらは現代社会や人間性に対する一種の理想像として、作品に落とし込まれる。

また、音楽的リズムやエネルギーの視覚化も重要な要素であり、視覚芸術を通して感覚間のつながりや新たな知覚体験を提示することを目指している。
